Initial appointment
Initial assessment
The fee for the initial appointment is $330. This includes a $40 initial assessment component. The initial session runs for one hour and allows time for assessment, formulation, and planning. Where clinically appropriate, you may be asked to complete brief questionnaires following this session to inform ongoing work.
Ongoing sessions
Standard sessions
Ongoing sessions run for 50 minutes, with additional time allocated for clinical documentation. The fee for ongoing sessions is $290 per appointment. Payment is processed on the day of the appointment using the card details provided.
Medicare rebates
If you have a valid Mental Health Care Plan from your GP or psychiatrist, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate.

- Medicare rebate: $149.05 per session
- Rebates are available for up to 10 sessions per calendar year
- Your GP will usually review progress after six sessions.
Medicare rebates are processed on the day of your appointment.
Enhanced Care Plans
If you have a Chronic Disease Management Plan, the number of sessions and rebate eligibility are determined by your GP. Please provide a copy of your plan prior to your appointment.
Private health insurance
Some private health funds offer rebates for psychological services. Please check directly with your insurer to confirm eligibility and rebate amounts. Please note that only one rebate can be claimed per session, either Medicare or private health insurance.
Fees and professional standards
My fees are currently below the Australian Psychological Society recommended fee schedule for clinical psychologists.
Cancellations and rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 48 business hours’ notice to avoid a cancellation fee. Full details of the cancellation policy are outlined in the consent documentation provided prior to commencing therapy.
